In a bizarre crossover event that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering free extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the shadows." The narrative introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine sect.
The mission focuses on "peculiar trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
